Course Overview
« Nihao, Haïti ! » is an educational cooperation project of the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) and the government of Taiwan. It is for the students who are interested in learning the language, Mandarin. The objective of this program is to not only promote Mandarin but also introduce the culture to Haitian students. If you plan to study in Taiwan, apply for the scholarship, or work for Taiwanese and Chinese enterprises, this course will be a great opportunity to start your path.
I have developed a new way of teaching and designed a series of animation videos for you to learn at your pace. According to the research, animation combines audio messages with visual cues and suitable graphics to fulfill the dual function of explaining complex concepts and arousing your interest in the learning process. I believe that video-based learning content is a powerful educational tool.
I will also provide you with essential documents to download and free online resources to help you learn. After the five modules, you will be able to pronounce words, make simple phrases, communicate in daily situations and you will have discovered multiple aspects of Taiwanese culture.
I have been teaching Mandarin in Haiti since 2015 and I am happy that we can do Mandarin lessons online for more Haitians and for the world. I hope you enjoy study with me at INFAC. Let’s begin!
